A Morphological Study in the Elastic Fibers of the Superior cerebellar Artery Wall of Rats by High Fat Diet and Peucedani Japonici radix Extract Aministration

Abstract
|
|
|
Observation of the elastic fibers of the superior Cerebellar artery walls in adults rats has been carried out by administering a high fat diet for 45days and Peucedani 3aponici Radix extract Administration.
The results. obtained are summarized as follows ;
1. The development of the elastic fibers in the superior cerebellar artery walls was much moor in the high fat diet group than in the other Diet groups.
2. The development of the elastic fibers in the tunica media was rich in all experimental groups. But scattered irregular fibers and fine and cut elastic fibers were obeerved in the tunica media of all groups.
3. External elastic membranes and adventitia were not observed in any of the groups,
4. Highest development of elastic fibers was observed in the groups Ⅰ > Ⅳ > Normal > Ⅲ > Ⅱ > Ⅴ > which were standard diet and Peucedani japonici Radix extract administration groups.
5. There was high development of the elastic fibers in groups fed the Peucedani japonici Radix extract.
